The arts take center stage in Lancaster. And whether it's showcasing a well-known entertainer or hosting a community group, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center is the hub of all things artistic. Since its debut in 1991, the Center has continuously provided the city with top-notch performances and an overall economic boost. Averaging 52,000 ticket sales per year and seating 758, the Center is home to the Antelope Valley Ballet, Cedar Street Theatre, Acme Acting Company, and the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra and Master Chorale. The city is also doing its best to emphasize the arts to the younger generation by operating the Arts for Youth program, which provides daytime field-trip performances for school children.
