Castle Rock keeps golfers on their tees with five outstanding venues — two public and three private courses.

Red Hawk Ridge

Red Hawk Ridge spans 6,942 yards, making it the only golf course of the five in Castle Rock that is less than 7,000 yards. The public venue is known for extreme elevation changes, abundant wildlife, rolling terrain and dramatic vistas. It was designed by award-winning golf course architect Jim Engh, who strategically placed bunkers and green-side water.

The Ridge at Castle Pines North

This Tom Weiskopf-designed 18-hole course opened in 1997 and has been ranked by Golf magazine as one of the Top 100 Public-Access Golf Courses in the United States. Besides a challenging layout, The Ridge offers views of Pikes Peak, Devil's Head, Mt. Evans as well as sandstone rock formations and many varieties of wildlife. The 7,103-yard course plays to a par 71.

Castle Pines Golf Club

The challenging 18-hole, 7,559-yard course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and was home to The International PGA Tour event from 1986 to 2006. Nicklaus designed the private facility to follow the natural contour of the land. As a result, Castle Pines complements the densely wooded areas and rolling hills of the Colorado landscape.

Country Club at Castle Pines

The 18-hole championship-caliber course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and offers spectacular views, woods and a challenging layout. Country Club at Castle Pines is a private course that spans 7,143 yards full of beautiful vistas. One of the signature holes is No. 9 — a 387-yard par 4 with its green nestled in the base of a rock cliff.

Plum Creek Golf & Country Club

World-renowned golf course architect Pete Dye designed Plum Creek Golf & Country Club, a private 7,107-yard facility that hosted a PGA Senior Tour event for several years. Past champions included Gary Player, Miller Barber and Bruce Crampton. A highlight hole is No. 12, a par 3 that consists of 10,000 railroad ties surrounding the green.
