Casual Fare

The Castle Cafe dates back to the late 1800s when it was the Castle Hotel and Bar, a gathering spot for local ranchers and a stopover for settlers heading West. Known today for homestyle favorites, such as their famous pan-fried chicken, the restaurant remains a popular eatery for both locals and visitors.

B&B Cafe serves traditional American fare for breakfast and lunch. Diners can build their own omelets from fresh ingredients or sample from the restaurant’s gluten-free menu. Fresh-baked breads, soups, salads and pastries are in store for diners at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe. The cafe also offers online ordering and catering services.

Global Flavors

VistaVino Modern Grill Chef Michael Glennon had plenty of practice perfecting his Italian recipes growing up in an Irish-Italian family in Boston. Diners benefit with a menu that includes zucchini, carrot and beet spaghetti and rosemary truffle potatoes.

Pegasus on the Square mixes Greek, Mexican, Italian and American fare into its menu. Voted Best Breakfast by the Castle Rock News Press, the restaurant features both chilladas and souvlaki on its breakfast menu. Serving more than two dozen Colorado craft beers, Maddie’s Biergarten is one of Castle Rock’s favorite watering holes. The restaurant also features a traditional German menu that includes kartofell (potato) stacks, brats, and beer cheese and chips.

Dinner and Drinks

For a happy hour stocked with an impressive assortment of cocktails, look no further than Union. Named the 2015 Diner’s Choice by OpenTable.com, the family-owned American bistro features a gourmet menu inspired by local ingredients.

Housed in a restored parish church that dates back to the turn of the last century, The Old Stone Church Restaurant features an eclectic seasonal menu, such as fresh Hawaiian seafood sourced directly from the islands. Rockyard American Grill & Brewing Co. features award-winning beers as well as handcrafted food, such as jalapeño cream soup and barbecue ribs, that pair perfectly with the restaurant’s more than a dozen brews.
