Several health care resources are available to Greeley, CO residents, including a major medical center, outpatient clinics and urgent care facilities. The community’s medical providers are equipped to handle minor ailments, serious illnesses and everything in between.

North Colorado Medical Center

Part of the Banner Health system, North Colorado Medical Center is a 378-bed facility in central Greeley that employs approximately 2,100 people, including more than 250 staff physicians. NCMC – a private, nonprofit facility – is the region’s largest hospital provider, and its service area encompasses southern Wyoming, western Nebraska, western Kansas and northeastern Colorado.

Each year, NCMC handles more than 14,000 outpatient visits, while its emergency department treats more than 58,000 patients. Its key services include heart care, cancer care, trauma and emergency care, surgical care and women’s services. In addition, NCMC is affiliated with several local Banner Health Clinic facilities, where patients can see specialists in areas like orthopedics, pediatrics, behavioral health and internal medicine.

NCMC also operates Summit View Medical Commons in West Greeley, which provides residents with a comprehensive pharmacy, an anticoagulation clinic, medical imaging, mammograms, breath health services and urgent care. Also located in SVMC is the Greeley VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, a facility providing area veterans with primary-care services.

Greeley Emergency and Surgery Center

The 22,000-square-foot Greeley Emergency and Surgery Center, part of the University of Colorado Health system, offers emergency, laboratory and imaging services. Open 24/7, the facility is located at the corner of 71st Avenue and 10th Street in west Greeley, and it has 12 private exam rooms, one "major" room and two exam rooms for pediatric patients. Imaging services include X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs.

Greeley Medical Clinic

The University of Colorado Health’s Greeley Medical Clinic offers a broad range of services such as breast health, a diabetes center, gastroenterology, endocrinology, general surgery, occupational health, radiology and imaging, and urgent care. Located across the street from NCMC, the clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Greeley Med Care

Greeley Med Care is both an urgent care facility and a medical clinic, welcoming walk-in patients and serving as an alternative to an emergency room visit for minor issues like sprains, strains, rashes, contusions and lacerations. The clinic provides well care services, such as immunizations and physicals, plus chronic disease management, orthopedic care, women’s health services, chest/lung care, head/eye/ear/nose/throat care and skin care. Chiropractic services are also available, as well as physical therapy and recovery treatment, such as addictions counseling and out-patient detoxification support. Greeley Med Care is centrally located on West 10th Street, and it’s open daily.

NextCare Urgent Care: Greeley

Located in Greeley’s business loop on 39th Avenue at 10th Street, NextCare Urgent Care: Greeley treats common illnesses like colds, the flu and stomachaches, as well as minor injuries such as cuts, abrasions and fractures. X-rays and in-house laboratory testing are available, plus occupational medicine services and comprehensive physicals. Open daily, the facility also provides immunizations and vaccinations for the flu, hepatitis B, tuberculosis, typhoid, yellow fever, tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).
