Residents in Pueblo have a wealth of health services available to them, including two top hospitals in the community. Here is some background:

Parkview Medical Center

With 2,500 employees and a medical staff of 370 physicians, Parkview Medical Center serves residents in Pueblo County and 14 surrounding counties. The nonprofit medical center has 350 beds and another 20 for patients in need of long-term care, and the region’s only Level II trauma center.

Parkview Medical Center is a leader in cardiac, women’s, emergency and neurological services as well as behavioral health programs. It is a key contributor to more than 70 charities and organizations, including many contributions to nursing programs. The hospital offers comfort amenities such as free wireless internet access for patients and visitors. Nourishing, well-balanced meals are planned on-site after a patient’s arrival.

Among other accolades, Parkview Medical Center has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report many times for its quality of care, and earned a Women’s Choice Award in 2016 for its cardiac care.

St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center

For more than 130 years, St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center has pioneered health for Pueblo and communities across southern Colorado. Today, St. Mary-Corwin is a full-service, 408-bed hospital specializing in cancer care, orthopedics and joint replacement, emergency services, innovative cardiovascular treatments, breast care, robotic-assisted surgery and women’s services.
