A shared sense of purpose and a commitment to the community are at the heart of AdventHealth’s mission. From clinical skill to operational expertise, AdventHealth’s dedicated team of professionals embraces the shared mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ to restore body, mind and spirit.
More than 7.4 million patients turn to AdventHealth each year for compassionate care that values each person as an individual. That same supportive spirit extends to more than 80,000 team members across the country and throughout the Greater Daytona area.
Find A Rewarding Career
“AdventHealth is a faith-based organization where caring for the whole person is our brand promise, and that promise includes caring for our team members as much as our patients,” says Mandy McDaniel, MBA, RN, regional program manager for nursing development in Central Florida.
Recognizing the importance of life outside of hospital walls and the value of attaining personal goals, the health system’s robust benefits package helps employees maximize both — all while enjoying a highly rewarding career.
From competitive pay to debt-free education benefits, McDaniel notes, “AdventHealth invests in their team.”
“When I graduated from nursing school, AdventHealth aligned with me personally – not just as a place I could grow professionally but a place I could grow spiritually, as well.”– Mandy McDaniel, MBA, RN
Ongoing Professional Development
After launching her nursing career at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in 2016, McDaniel soon began assuming increasing responsibilities. She credits the leadership team and colleagues for encouraging her professional development and notes the infrastructure is in place to help all employees advance in their careers.
“We have a really great partnership with Daytona State Nursing program,” McDaniel says of her alma mater. “We help support the students’ clinical experience through employment opportunities like becoming a nurse tech,” she explains. “We have intentional conversations up front so where you work is aligned with your future goals and where you see yourself as a nurse.”
Additionally, she says AdventHealth works with other colleges and universities to provide a clinical rotation setting to help prepare the next generation of nurses. Learning continues long after graduation with a 12-month nurse residency program for new hires, plus ongoing professional excellence training.
The health system’s debt-free education program provides employees across all areas the opportunity to earn undergraduate and graduate degrees from a long list of in-network colleges and universities, including online options. Whether working in nutrition services while earning a nursing degree or as a housekeeper while studying health care management, AdventHealth makes education goals attainable.
For those who come in carrying student debt, McDaniel says employees with benefits have access to a loan support program to pay down balances faster. Additionally, team members enjoy competitive wages and increases as they progress through their chosen fields.
“AdventHealth really wants to help you reach financial wholeness,” she explains.
