Though it started as a small town with an entirely different name in the early 1800s, Perry has grown into a thriving city.

This is thanks in large part to years of revitalization efforts and investment in community development. As a result, downtown Perry is a charming setting for shopping, community events and more.

One gem of the downtown area is the Perry Arts Center, formerly the National Guard Armory building until it was transformed into what is now a vibrant hub for artists and events, including the annual “Art in the Armory” event.
