Manhattan, KS Makes Transportation Easy

Though not as well known as its New York counterpart, Manhattan is certainly making a name for itself. One area its racking up points for is its easy accessibility and impressive city transportation. Manhattan Regional Airport flies direct to Dallas, connecting the small city to a full-service airport in as little time as possible. Beginning November 18, 2010, the airport will broaden its scope significantly by operating flights to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, one of America's best-connected airports. Closer to ground, Manhattan is taking measures to ensure that transportation within city limits stays easy as well. In 2000, the city adopted the Manhattan Area Transportation Strategy: Connecting to 2020, the city's first comprehensive transportation plan which outlines way to increase the safety and effectiveness of travel within Manhattan. The average commute is just 14 minutes, and only 20 for those that opt to use public transportation.
