No matter what type of cuisine you prefer, Wichita is ready to serve it up.
The city has an abundance of popular restaurants, each with its own ambiance and a distinctive menu sure to please the palate. Many of them also feature outside dining.
Downtown, the Ambassador Hotel at Broadway and Douglas streets is in the heart of the arts, entertainment and cultural district. Its Siena Tuscan Steakhouse Restaurant offers a full day's dining, with breakfast, lunch and elegant dinners before a night on the town. Also in the area is Walkers Bar & Venue, located northeast of the INTRUST Bank Arena. Specialty drinks and original bar menu selections, including bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapenos, salmon burgers, hot rib-eye sandwiches, gourmet hamburgers and pizza fit the bill before or after an arena event.
Larkspur Bistro & Bar in Old Town skillfully integrates Mediterranean, French, Italian and American items for standout appetizers, entrees and desserts. An evening on the patio offers a unique view of the city’s main thoroughfare, Douglas Avenue.
Tempting the taste buds with Southwest and American cuisine is the Redrock Canyon Grill on Rock Road in the Bradley Fair shopping area, noted for its attentive service and rotisserie chicken, among other offerings. The Newport Grill, located on the water in the Bradley Fair Shopping Center, specializes in seafood, shipped fresh six days a week.
