Rockcastle Shooting Center opened only a few years ago and already serves as one of the most popular attractions at Park Mammoth Resort in Park City. Rockcastle features a variety of indoor booths and outdoor stations where participants can practice shooting with pistols, rifles and archery gear. Instructors offer classes in firearm skills from the basics to the most advanced, with programs such as beginning and advanced marksmanship, hunter education, Kentucky concealed-carry-deadly-weapons classes, and wilderness survival training.

The 2,000-acre Rockcastle property has a 12-station sporting clay course set among wooded ridges and valleys, plus rifle ranges from 50 yards out to 1,000 yards. There are multiple pistol ranges along with a 20-station 3-D archery course, plus a permanent Cowboy Action shooting town complete with five Old West facade stages for shooting.

Rockcastle Shooting Center hosts a variety of local, regional, national and international shooting competitions, with more than 60 events scheduled each year. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. until dark, and the resort also features paintball fields, an 18-hole golf course, 100-room lodge, restaurant, winery, vineyard and nature trails.

The center and Park Mammoth Resort are just off Interstate 65 at exit 48, about an hour drive from Louisville or Nashville, and 25 minutes north of Bowling Green.
