LEADING THE WAY IN INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Established in 1921 with the aim of producing “thinkers rather than routine workers, executives rather than subordinates,” the Robert H. Smith School of Business is an internationally recognized leader in management education and research. One of 12 colleges and schools at the University of Maryland, College Park, the Smith School maintains rigorous academic standards within a supportive, collaborative community that values diverse viewpoints and cultures.
No longer confined to College Park, the school provides convenient campuses in downtown Washington, D.C., Rockville (Shady Grove) and Baltimore, as well as an executive MBA program in Beijing, China. From its original 394 students, the school now serves close to 5,000 students and an alumni community of over 60,000 members around the world. The school is actively serving the region’s business community through timely and relevant programs offered by its Office of Executive Education.
The University of Maryland Medical System is one of the largest private, nonprofit health-care providers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Smith Executive MBA students often compare their experience to studying in a “think tank,” where they share workplace problems and find solutions.
An executive MBA can pay off in many ways for working professionals serious about their careers.
