The University of Minnesota Medical Center, Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Hennepin County Medical Center were ranked among America's best by U.S. News & World Report because of the number of specialties they provide, beating out the almost 5,000 hospitals analyzed.
The Minneapolis VA Medical Center and Allina's Phillips Eye Institute provide care to Minneapolis residents as well. Also, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., is roughly an hour away.
