Looking for more fun things to do and exciting places to visit in Rochester? You’re in luck. The city lays claim to historic hotspots like Mayowood Mansion, built in 1911 by Dr. Charles H. Mayo, co-founder of the Mayo Clinic, which is open for tours from the end of April through October. History buffs also enjoy browsing the exhibits at the History Center of Olmsted County, and the Heritage House Victorian Museum, built in 1875, gives visitors the opportunity to step back in time and learn more about Rochester’s early days.

Those looking to catch a live performance can check out Word Players Theatre and the Hill Theatre at Rochester Community and Technical College. Outdoor adventurers will want to take advantage of the community’s 100-plus parks and destinations like the 2,700-acre Whitewater State Park, located in nearby Altura. Sports fans have plenty to enjoy, too, thanks to the Rochester Honkers baseball team and the area’s many golf courses.
