Sounds of Summer Concert Series

The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 30th-annual Summer Concert Series. This Chesterfield tradition at Faust County Park attracts thousands of music lovers from the community at each concert. The series consists of 10 concerts each Tuesday from June through August at Faust Park. This year’s lineup includes Bob Kuban, Billy Peek, Trilogy, Spectrum, Volcanic Ash and more. Concert-goers can enjoy food, drinks and kid-friendly activities.

Art Unleashed

Grow your artistic skills and create your next masterpiece with the help of Art Unleashed, a nonprofit art organization offering art classes, camps and workshops to students of all ages and abilities. A wide variety of classes are available throughout the year, such as pottery wheel, watercolor, acrylic painting and drawing, as well as themed classes that focus on specific subjects like animals or music. Art Unleashed also offers a Kaleidoscope program that’s designed for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, plus special programming for homeschooled students and community organizations.

Public Art

Chesterfield’s landscape is dotted with public art installations, giving residents and visitors easy access to some of the community’s most impressive and unique creations. For example, the City of Chesterfield hosts an art exhibit at City Hall that displays works from regional artists, while places like Central Park and Eberwein Park lay claim to permanent, one-of-a-kind sculptures. Public art is also on display outside of the St. Louis County Library, Chesterfield Sports Fusion, West County Family YMCA and other area businesses.

Fine Art Limited, the world’s largest publisher of fine art commemorating special events, is home to a gallery that features the largest selection of art in the Midwest with both contemporary and traditional works created by internationally known artists. Additionally, Fine Art Limited provides services such as graphic design, custom framing, art restoration, sculpture repair, artist consultation for art reproduction and bronze casting.

Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival

Combining great music, wine and food, the family-friendly Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival is a daylong event that takes place each June at the Chesterfield Amphitheater. The free festival celebrates St. Louis as the true birthplace of jazz by showcasing the best in contemporary, straight-ahead and fusion jazz, with past performers including Ptah Williams, Soul Cafe and Bach to the Future. The event is also known for offering an array of wines from across the state, as well as a nighttime fireworks show.

Stages

Enjoy Broadway-quality musical theater performances put on by Stages, a not-for-profit company that produces 135 performances from June through October. Entertaining nearly 50,000 patrons each season in the Chesterfield area, Stages’ past productions include Fiddler on the Roof, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland and The Sound of Music – just to name a few. Stages also educates thousands of students annually at its performing arts academy, which is the region’s only year-round arts school with a comprehensive curriculum run by a professional theater company.
