If you’re looking for things to do in O’Fallon, you don’t need to look far. There is plenty to do, from attending an off-Broadway play to visiting a wildlife refuge to witnessing an incredible annual Celebration of Lights. Here are some quick details:

Catch Their Act

Attend a performance staged by O’FallonTheatreWorks (pictured), a theatrical troupe that formed in 2001 and in 2017 was awarded a $10,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant to further its programming. Annual productions by the ensemble are staged at O’Fallon Municipal Centre, including a spring musical, summer youth theater production and a drama and comedy in the fall.

Go Wild

Spend some quality time at Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge, which features natural wonders like wetlands, open water, forests and prairies that house mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish and birds. Visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails, canoeing and kayaking on Swan Lake, bank fishing and family friendly programs.

Why O’Fallon, MO is a Great Place to Live

Bring Your Dog

Mark your calendar for early September when Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center schedules an annual Pool Paws Dog Swim Day at the swimming center on Civic Park Drive. Dogs have a great time with waterspouts and paddling in the pool, and funds raised benefit the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation.

Welcome Fall

An annual O’Fallon Fall Fest occurs every October in Civic Park to welcome the autumn season, with activities such as bluegrass music concerts, food vendors, a kid zone, holiday shopping and more. The event is free and usually draws about 20,000 people.

Catch the Celebration

A huge holiday extravaganza called Celebration of Lights occurs every holiday season from Thanksgiving through Christmas at Fort Zumwalt Park. The event attracts more than 10,000 vehicles each year, and about 5,000 individuals take part in an Old-Fashioned Holiday Stroll around Christmastime. Each Monday features train, wagon and sleigh hayrides booked via advanced reservation, with vehicle traffic closed to the public.
