Rush Health Systems
Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2015, Rush Health Systems has seven hospitals, 28 physician practice clinics and employs 3,300 workers. RHS is anchored by its 215-bed Rush Foundation Hospital and also operates The Specialty Hospital of Meridian as well as five critical access hospitals. Other services include a Family Birth Center, Rush GI Lab, Rush Heart Institute, Rush Sports Medicine Team, The Pain Treatment Center at Rush, The Vein Center at Rush, and Wound Care and Hyperbarics.
Anderson Regional Medical Center
Established in 1928, Anderson Regional Medical Center has north and south campuses with a total of 400 beds and 1,600 employees. Medical services include the area’s first cardiovascular surgery program, a pain management center, wound healing and hyperbaric center, sleep disorders center, Level III trauma ER, fitness center and an infectious disease specialist.

East Mississippi State Hospital
An agency of the Mississippi Department of Health, East Mississippi State Hospital has 1,500 employees and more than 600 beds to treat adult and adolescent patients with psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Patients arrive from 16 counties throughout the state. Also on site at EMSH, the third-largest employer in the Meridian area, is the 226-bed Reginald P. White Nursing Facility for seniors.
Alliance Health Center
Alliance Health Center is a 154-bed inpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital with 385 employees who offer care to people of all ages. AHC began in 1961 as St. Joseph’s Hospital, under the guidance of the Sisters of St. Joseph. In 1989 ot became a freestanding psychiatric and drug/alcohol treatment facility, and is now owned by Universal Health Services. AHC offers treatment for adolescents ages 12-17, adults with severe mental health disorders, and a separate unit called “Journeys” for depression, post-traumatic stress and bipolar patients.
Mental Health and Addiction
Helping patients who suffer from stress, depression and other mental health disorders, Weems Community Mental Health Center also serves patients dealing with substance abuse, family problems or children's issues. Mental health services are available for children, adolescents and adults. TAME LLC, opened in 2012, offers intensive outpatient programs to mental health patients, using holistic techniques such as meditation, yoga, diet and exercise regimes, and aromatherapy. Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services was established in Hattiesburg in 1984, and today its Meridian location provides behavioral health and addiction treatment services to people of all ages.
