From college apartments to spacious condominiums and historic homes, Oxford has plenty of residential options for those looking to put down roots in the community.

The University

Packed with college students, the University area is adjacent to Oxford and home to the University of Mississippi's main campus, often referred to as Ole Miss. The area primarily includes residential halls and apartments, such as Campus Creek Apartment Homes, and is located near attractions such as Oxford Mall and Malco Oxford Studio Cinema.

The Square

Oxford's central business district, The Square, features restaurants, museums, art galleries, shops and other attractions. It is home to the city's best restaurant, City Grocery, as well as the historic Lafayette County Courthouse, which was built between 1872 and 1873. The district also includes Oxford Square Townhomes and the Retreat at Oxford.

Lamar Park Area

Lamar Park is located where the Country Club of Oxford was once situated and features many of the city's historic homes and the Orleans Oaks Condominiums. In addition to the park, which has walking trails and a lake, the area includes restaurants such as Mink's On The Park and B's Hickory Smoked BBQ, and is close to the University-Oxford Airport.

Medical District

The Medical District, primarily between South Lamar Boulevard and Belk Boulevard, comprises Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi and several other health-care facilities such as the North Mississippi Family Medical Clinic. The district also includes a variety of schools including Northwest Community College's Lafayette-Yalobusha Technical Center and the Oxford-Lafayette School of Applied Technology. Single-family homes and apartment complexes, such as Cambridge Station Apartments, make up most of the residential options in the Medical District.

Grand Oaks

Earning a mention on MSN Real Estate's list of College Towns for Grown-ups, the Grand Oaks neighborhood is popular among retirees and is next to the Country Club of Oxford. The neighborhood has large, single-family homes, most of which include a view of the golf course, as well as a selection of condominiums.
