Plaza Midwood

Charlotte's Plaza Midwood district is an eclectic area, offering a variety of shops ideal for those seeking something unique.

If its clothing you're looking for, head to Boris & Natasha; this boutique provides trendy clothing for both men and women, as well as shoes, accessories and jewelry. Another option is Lotus Look, which offers high-end clothes exclusively for women.

Once you're decked out in the latest duds, check out the selection of antiques and discounted items at Clearing House and Clark's Antiques, Imports & Stuff. Both of these stores house an assortment of treasures, including home furnishings and glassware.

If music's what you're interested in, there's a shop just for you: Lunchbox Records. This independent record store offers new and used CDs, LPs, DVDs, books and other items.

North Davidson Street Arts District

This artsy district, often called NoDa, is home to an array of interesting shops you won't find anywhere else.

University City

Located near the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University City offers an assortment of retailers, including the first IKEA store in the Carolinas.

This district is also home to the Shoppes at University Place, which include stores such as Best Buy, TJ Maxx and Ross.

Additionally, both Northlake Mall and Concord Mills Mall are just a short drive away from this area.
