North Davidson

North Davidson, or NoDa, is Charlotte's Historic Arts District. Its real appeal is for the younger generation looking for somewhere trendy to live, where eclectic galleries, shops and eateries line the hip streets. Homes in the area range from townhomes in the $200,000's to bungalows in the $400,000's.

Myers Park

Just a few short blocks from Charlotte's uptown lies the lovely Myers Park. As one of the more affluent neighborhoods in the city, Myers Park offers it residents tree-lined streets and big, beautiful houses. Today, the neighborhood is one of the most treasured in Charlotte, and its Myers Park High School is often nationally ranked as one of the best in the country. Residents can enjoy a game of golf at the Myers Park Country Club or a trip to the Park Road Shopping Center.


Dilworth is another up-scale community close to uptown. It offers mostly bungalow-style homes, with easy access to shopping and dining options. Prices range greatly, from those in the $200,000's up to some in the $600,000's. Dilworth's Freedom Park provides family-friendly fun, as well as a few festivals including the nationally-recognized Festival in the Park.


The neighborhoods in SouthPark are some of the older ones in Charlotte, developed in the 1970's and 80's. The centerpiece of the area is the SouthPark Mall, one of the biggest malls in the state. Additionally, SouthPark is one of the biggest business districts in Charlotte, as well as a major residential area.

South Charlotte

Traveling south of uptown will bring you into South Charlotte, home to major neighborhoods like Ballantyne and Arboretum. Ballanytyne is a 2,000-acre development with an array of subdivisions in all price ranges, including Allyson Park, Ballantyne Country Club, Providence Pointe, Thornhill and Wynridge Estates. The Arboretum is famous for offering two things: The Arboretum Shopping Center and lots of trees. Known to locals as “The Arb,” the area is extremely family-oriented.
