Albemarle Health

Albemarle Health is northeastern North Carolina’s largest regional health and wellness provider. It serves a seven-county region and is made up of Albemarle Hospital, Regional Medical Center, Regional Oncology Center, Island Medical Center, Albemarle Health Sleep Center, Gateway Community Health Centers and the Albemarle Hospital Foundation.

Albemarle Hospital

Albemarle Hospital is the hub of the Albemarle Health system, with services that include inpatient hospitalization, advanced surgery, an expansive rehabilitation program, urgent and emergency care, and a regional oncology center. The hospital provides education and support groups as well as charity care for patients in need. It employs more than 900 people regionally.

Community Care Clinic

To help meet the needs of uninsured patients, the Albemarle Hospital Foundation operates the Community Care Clinic in Elizabeth City, offering free physician care, screenings and prescription drugs to those without insurance. Community Care Clinic's dedicated staff members and 50 volunteers serve Elizabeth City as well as Pasquotank, Camden and Currituck counties.

Pediatrics

Coastal Pediatrics, on Halstead Boulevard, three miles from Albemarle Hospital, is a primary care pediatric practice affiliated with Children's Hospital of The King's Daughter. Coastal Pediatrics cares for children from birth to age 21. Children First Pediatrics, also in Elizabeth City, offers a variety of diagnostic and treatment services at its offices on South Hughes Boulevard.

Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Pain Specialists

Comprehensive Rehabilitation in Elizabeth City treats people who have pain in their back, neck, knees, hips or shoulders before or after surgery. Rehabilitation physicians also treat people who have weakness from a stroke or nerve injury, and even those who have had amputations or spinal cord injuries.
