Events at the Fargodome in Fargo, ND

Find out what events are held in the Fargodome, which hosts the North Dakota State Bisons home football games.

North Dakota State Bisons home football games are played at the Fargodome, which is owned by the City of Fargo. The facility opened in December 1992 at a cost of $48 million and can seat 25,000 spectators for concerts, and 19,000 for college football.

The Fargodome is only five minutes north of the downtown business district and a half-mile from Hector International Airport. The indoor stadium was originally designed to have an air-structured dome, but it ended up with a hard roof and is technically not a dome at all.

It contains two scoreboards at each end zone, four large video screens in each corner, and two stats boards centered on each sideline. Besides football, the Fargodome has hosted events such as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, NHRA’s Monster Jam, Rib Fest, WWE and WCW professional wrestling, the Aasics Cadet and Junior National Wrestling Championships, and many other local, regional and national attractions.

Also on site is a 3,500-seat Gate City Bank Theatre that is home to both locally-produced and touring performing arts productions. There are also ongoing talks to attach a 6,000-seat arena to the Fargodome, for North Dakota State University basketball teams as well as smaller performances.
