Don't-Miss Attraction: Princeton University Art Museum

Founded in 1882, the Princeton University Art Museum is part of the world-famous Ivy League college and is a premier museum of the arts in the northeast. This museum is home to collections that contain more than 72,000 works from cultures around the world including Mediterranean, Western European, Chinese, Western American and Latin American. These works vary in periods from contemporary and modern to ancient Byzantine and ancient American, and take different forms including photography, prints, drawings and sculptures. In addition to these permanent works of art, the museum hosts about twelve special exhibits every year as well as symposiums, concerts and film screenings.
