Avondale

Located in the center of Cincinnati, Avondale is one of the city’s largest neighborhoods. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is here, and the area was the setting for part of the Civil Rights movement.

Avondale primarily comprises renters, and this urban neighborhood is walkable. Apartment complexes and buildings make up the majority of the area’s housing.

Camp Washington

Locals know that Camp Washington is the place to come for some Cincinnati-style chili as it is home to the eatery Camp Washington Chili. Renters of varying ages populate the apartment buildings and single-family homes in this walkable area.

Over-the-Rhine

Voted best neighborhood in the city by CityBeat, Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine is a historic neighborhood. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and this preserved urban neighborhood from the 1800s has a large collection of Italianate architecture.

Mount Washington

Cincinnati’s Mount Washington neighborhood is known for the Mount Washington Water Tower, an Art Deco landmark. This urban area has mostly small single-family homes that are inhabited by highly educated professionals.

Mount Washington also includes a business district with many small businesses.

Mount Lookout

Mount Lookout is on the east side of Cincinnati. A mixture of renters and owners live in this urban neighborhood that is made up of small and historic single-family homes. College students live in Mount Lookout thanks to the proximity of several higher education insitutions as well as young working professionals.

Mount Lookout Square, one of the city’s most vibrant business districts, is also in this area.
