For nearly a decade, The Carlyle House has been helping seniors live their best lives in an inviting setting designed to keep residents active and engaged.
Conveniently located on State Route 48, along the border of Oakwood and Kettering, the family-owned assisted living and memory care community features a full slate of amenities and 24-hour care to meet the expectations of both residents and family members.
“Since opening in 2013, The Carlyle House has truly believed in creating an environment that is comfortable, compassionate and respectful for all,” says Bryan Nelson, executive director of The Carlyle House.
Residents love spending time with a good book in the elegantly appointed library, savoring a sweet treat from the ice-cream parlor, chatting with neighbors in the bar area, taking an afternoon stroll along the walking path or simply soaking in the sun in the beautifully landscaped, secured Carlyle Arboretum.
Meals are events as residents gather to enjoy chef-prepared, nutritious options in a fine dining setting that also cultivates easy conversation and laughter. Additionally, the community features a full slate of on-site activities, concerts, social gatherings and planned outings to keep seniors connected.
The campus includes two buildings with 51 suites in assisted living and 30 suites in Renaissance Memory Care. In both areas, residents can bring furniture from home and decorate the unit to suit personal style.
Dedicated caregivers, 24-hour nursing, physician oversight and personal care plans ensure needs are met for each member of The Carlyle House family.
“We understand every situation is unique, so we treat each of our residents individually to help them maintain the highest level of function possible,” Nelson explains.
Recognizing it’s always a difficult decision when families contemplate moving a loved one from a longtime home, Nelson says The Carlyle House takes the approach that community is much more than an address – it’s where the heart is and where memories and friendships are made.
“We take pride in offering our residents an intimate environment that’s designed to really feel like home,” he concludes.
