EASTAR Health System
With a total of 320 beds at its main campus on Rockefeller Drive and its east campus on North Main Street, EASTAR Health System can treat almost any medical condition. The two EASTAR facilities are fully accredited by The Joint Commission. EASTAR has a nationally accredited cancer program, a Level III trauma center, a primary stroke center, and a Center for Obesity Treatment. An EASTAR Women and Children’s Center is headquartered at the North Main Street east campus, with five labor-delivery and recovery rooms on the second floor and 12 postpartum rooms on the third floor.
VA Medical Center
Founded in 1923, the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Muskogee offers care for more than 45,000 veterans in 25 counties in eastern Oklahoma. Named for World War II veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Jack C. Montgomery, the center's inpatient and outpatient medical programs include cardiology, dentistry, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, oncology, optometry, orthopedics, psychiatric care, surgery, urology and more. A women's department offers gynecology, mammography and menopause treatment. The hospital's motto is “Excellence Starts Here.” Besides the main facility in Muskogee it maintains outpatient clinics in Tulsa, Hartshorne and Vinita.
The Springs
A wide range of personal and rehabilitative services is available at The Springs, a new senior care facility that features skilled nursing and skilled therapy. The center has 105 private rooms and suites within four distinct neighborhoods, Bridges, Hunter’s Pointe, River Oaks and Somerset. A convenient Main Street district offers a beauty shop, ice cream stand and chapel.
Urgent Care Facilities
A number of urgent care facilities have opened in Muskogee, including Urgent Care of Muskogee, ReddyCare and Xpress Wellness Urgent Care. Urgent Care of Muskogee is headed by Dr. Azhar Shakeel and is open seven days a week, with a staff that includes experienced ER physicians, nurses, paramedics and phlebotomists. Many services are available, from school physicals and minor injuries to blood pressure screenings and gynecological exams.
Cardiology Clinic of Muskogee
Since 1979, the Cardiology Clinic of Muskogee has treated patients with minor illnesses or injuries as well as more serious and complex health issues. A convenient walk-in clinic is open five days a week. Onsite diagnostic testing services include X-ray imaging and cardiac testing and rehabilitation.
