Playing through? Columbia and surrounding Maury County have several nice golf courses to suit any skill level.
Columbia is home to Maury County’s only fully private course: the 18-hole, par-72 Graymere Country Club course, which measures 6,314 yards. Graymere Country Club opened in 1924 and is home to about 250 members. In addition to golf, Graymere has an excellent clubhouse for a cocktail with lunch or dinner.
The Stoneybrook Golf Course, a par-72 public course, has been Columbia’s home for public golf since 1961 in a country setting along the banks of Little Bigby Creek. A 2007 renovation added 45 additional acres of land, an upgraded irrigation system, new greens, new holes, new bridges crossing the creek and a larger fleet of new golf carts. Stoneybrook, open year round, also offers professional swing training and club fitting.
In Mount Pleasant, the nine-hole Mount Pleasant Country Club is a semi-private course on Enterprise Road. The nine-hole venue has been around since 1968. It stretches 3,033 yards from the longest tees for a par of 36, and green fees are $17 both on weekdays and weekends.
Spring Hill is home to King's Creek Golf Club, a public, par 70 course designed by Arnold Palmer and lauded for its scenic layout. Five sets of tees allow golfers the choice to play the 18 holes from different distances, from 5,078 yards up to 6,807 yards.
