The Tennessee Performing Arts Center‚ referred to as TPAC‚ is home base for many of Nashville’s performing arts organizations. Nashville was the first city in the nation to have a state-funded center for the performing arts. Organizations at TPAC include Nashville BalletTennessee Repertory Theatre (the Rep)‚ and Nashville Opera, all of which perform regularly at TPAC. In addition, these groups perform in schools and other community venues to bring its art to a larger audience.

TPAC is also home to the popular Broadway Series. Nashville is a favorite stop for the national touring companies of some of Broadway’s best plays. “Les Misérables‚” “South Pacific‚” “Swing!‚” “Annie‚” “Sunset Boulevard‚” “Show Boat‚” “Fosse‚” “Chicago” and “The Phantom of the Opera” are just a few of the shows staged here.
