How Long I Lived in NYC: 5 years

Where I Moved: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Why I Left NYC: My fiancée and I left to be closer to our families, to plan our wedding next year and for the much, much cheaper rent.

Rent/Mortgage and Square Footage in NYC: $2,100 a month for 550 square feet (and it was just about to be raised to $2,300!)

Rent/Mortgage and Square Footage in Albuquerque: $750 a month for 1,000 square feet

Most Pleasant Surprise About Relocating: There’s lots of fun things to do every night, even more than I remember from the last time I lived here.

Favorite Thing About Albuquerque: The weather and the food

Thing I Miss Most About NYC: Walking around neighborhoods and ducking into places on a whim.

Advice I'd Give to Someone Else Thinking of Moving to Albuquerque: Start building a network of people you like, because everyone here is friendly and helpful but they love to help their friends and family most of all!
