#4. Jacksonville FL
The Sunshine State is an ideal place for vanlifers, and Jacksonville, another of Livability’s Top 100 Best Places to Live, boasts an ideal location with perfect, sunny and warm weather. You might be surprised to know it’s actually the largest city in the state, and because of this, is chock full of library branches and coffee shops. Bold Bean is a popular choice, and may have the best coffee in town, with a few prime locations, downtown or by the beach.
Meanwhile, St. John’s Town Center, an upscale outdoor mall, also has some nice outdoor lounge space and free WiFi. Despite the city’s size, there are still a lot of places to park and several gyms scattered nearby for shower access. For paid camping, Little Talbot State Park is a perfect option, with shady sites and miles of barrier island beaches. Make time in the evening to check out a show at the historic Florida Theatre, or swing by Birdies to see its fantastic mosaic.
