The vote count in Muncie, Ind., has been split down the middle during several recent elections. It's swing city in what is routinely a swing state. In 2004, George W. Bush won the popular vote here, but Barack Obama picked up narrow wins in the last two elections. Muncie residents largely identify themselves as centrists and don't often back a candidate simply because of their political affiliation.
