The Nuthouse is the nickname of Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS, home of the Wichita Wingnuts independent baseball team. The old ballpark was constructed in 1934, last renovated in 2001 and seats 6,400. It is one of the few stadiums in the world that features a natural grass outfield with an astroturf infield. The atmosphere at Lawrence-Dumont is an interesting blend of old and new, with the old coming in the form of a manual scoreboard that was recently installed. It is a re-creation of one used here in the 1940s and features a goose laying an egg whenever the opposing team does not score.
