If the idea of a spring break vacation ignites your adventurous spirit, a trip to Hot Springs, AR, might be exactly what you're looking for.
The city lays claim to part of the Ouachita Mountains, providing activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, crystal hunting and more. The portion of the mountain range in Hot Springs also features two lakes, Lake Ouachita and Lake Hamilton, both ideal for fishing, scuba diving, skiing and sailing.
Visitors may also enjoy Hot Springs National Park, which has been a designated area since 1832, making it the oldest unit in the national park system. More than 20 hiking trails are available, covering as many as 10 miles. The park also offers opportunities for canoeing and fishing along the Caddo River.

Adrenaline junkies can ride the famous X-Coaster that includes a 360-degree corkscrew roll – taken at more than 65 miles per hour – and The Gauntlet, which features an eight-story drop, inverted loops and speeds as high as 50 miles per hour.
