Ski Vacation

Less than 25 minutes away from three acclaimed ski resorts, Ogden, UT, makes a great base for a ski vacation. Staying in Ogden gives visitors a multitude of food options and entertainment and attractions when the slopes are closed, or their legs need a rest. Plus, the city operates a shuttle service from downtown hotels and other select lodging locations to all three ski areas. The resorts are usually open until late April, when temperatures in the mountains remain cold enough for snow.

Ski Resorts
Snowbasin hosted the downhill, combined and super-G ski events during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Snowbasin offers 3,000 acres of skiing and is best known for having wide-open bowls, gladed runs, and best of all, short lift lines.

Powder Mountain has been rated among the top three ski resorts by SKI Magazine for snow quality and value. With 7,000 acres of skiable terrain, it's not uncommon to have entire slopes to yourself. Powder Mountain also has snow kiting, helisking and snowcat skiing.

Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort is one of the best places for beginning skiers. It has four lifts and offers 1,000 vertical feet of mostly novice slopes.
