Stay and Play in Corpus Christi

Having a beach in your backyard gives Corpus Christi locals an obvious advantage

Having a beach in your backyard gives Corpus Christi locals an obvious advantage (who doesn't dream of a beach vacation?), but the city offers plenty more to do, both on and off shore.

Sit back and relax at J.P. Luby Surf Park, one of the city's hottest surf spots that also hosts many barbecues and volleyball games. For those that would rather sit on the sidelines, the city's minor league baseball team, the Corpus Christi Hooks, take to the famous Whataburger field every season to entertain the masses.

For a more tranquil scene, the Yin Yang Fandango & Tango Tea Room offers up an eclectic earth store and some tantalizing tea to help friends find their inner zen. And, if the tea leaves you craving a little something more substantial, Corpus Christi's got you covered. The city's home to the legendary Whataburger, the burger so big you have to eat it with two hands and so good it named itself.
