Round Rock Independent School District

Round Rock Independent School District has been known for its excellent schools for more than 150 years. The first local school was founded in 1848, and since then the district has grown with the community and continued to provide award-winning education to Round Rock children. Round Rock ISD also contributes to the community through educational programs at local parks and museums that offer children opportunities to learn in and outside the classroom. From frontier programs in special education to excellent resources in every classroom, Round Rock Independent School District is an amazing benefit for families moving into the community.

Play for All Park

Play For All Park is an outstanding park for Round Rock children of all abilities. Designed by the community over the course of five years, the park is accessible for all children and includes play areas designed to develop specific skills. The project has unified Round Rock’s community and resulted in a unique park. 

Flix Brewhouse by Galaxy

Flix Brewhouse by Galaxy is the world’s only movie theater that includes a fully functioning microbrewery. Flix offers craft beer, great food and the latest movies. Juneteenth Rhythm and Ribs Festival

Round Rock’s annual Juneteenth Rhythm and Ribs Festival, held at Lakeview Pavilion, is a full day of the city’s best entertainment. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery, and now every year the Round Rock community gathers to celebrate the diverse city and its culture. With great local music and an outstanding barbecue cook-off, there’s no better way to welcome yourself to Round Rock.

Rock’N River Family Aquatic Center

The Rock’N River Family Aquatic Center is an excellent place for kids of all ages to play outside and stay cool during the summer heat. The park includes water slides and a water playground, and includes a lazy river for a cooling float. Kids love the water playground’s tunnel showers, water cannons, tipping buckets, floor geysers and open play area. Slide your way down the massive water slides for a “cool” experience with your whole family.
