Plenty of star power can be found at the Center for Earth and Space Science Education at Tyler Junior College. Home to the first 40-foot nano-seam domed theater in East Texas, the state-of-the-art planetarium features an immersive video experience. The new theater is equipped with Digistar 5, the latest in digital projection technology.
The science center engages visitors of all ages with digital quality shows in the domed theater and interactive displays in the exhibit hall. Travelers can visit unique destinations and also simulate real-time space flights, traveling light years in seconds, flying to galaxies and exploring the edge of the observable universe. The facility also features large-screen plasma screen displays with real-time video from NASA and the Space Telescope Science Institute.
