Murray, Utah, is a wonderfully friendly community with its own brand of great entertainment. From the Wheeler Historic Farm to the Desert Star Theater, the city has a lot of family-friendly entertainment for kids of all ages. With neighborly people and the great outdoors, everyone’s welcome in Murray. Here’s a look at some of the best things to do in the area:

 CousCous Mediterranean Grill

The CousCous Mediterranean Grill was built on the idea of combining healthy food with fun and friendly service. Owner and Chef Nick Shams had his life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with cancer, but since his recovery he has created a restaurant aimed at offering fantastic healthy food to the Murray community. CousCous certainly achieves this goal with an outstanding menu of healthy and delicious food along with a friendly atmosphere that contributes to the Murray community. If you’re visiting the city, there’s no better place to grab a bite to eat.

 Wheeler Historic Farm

Wheeler Historic Farm offers great entertainment for the whole family throughout the year. Kids love visiting the animals, and the farm also offers summer camps. You can take any of the historic house tours to learn about the history of the Murray community and the families who have lived on and near the farm. In addition, Wheeler Historic Farm has field trips for local schools and offers a Wheeler Historic Farms Cub Scout patch for local Boy Scout troops. The Wheeler Historic Farm is a great contribution to the Murray community and offers tons of fun outdoor activities.

 Desert Star Theater

The Desert Star Theater has been a staple of the Murray community since the late ’80s and has only grown in popularity. There’s no place like it for hilarious, family-friendly entertainment, and people flock from all over the state to watch. Desert Star prides itself on its original musical comedies and parodies of classic movies, TV shows and Broadway hits. Each show also has what they call The Olio, a high-energy variety show following every play, and the venue offers an assortment of food that can be ordered directly to your table during the show, making it a true dinner theater experience. Families rave about Desert Star’s unique and exciting entertainment.

 Murray Storytelling Festival

The annual Murray Storytelling Festival hosts storytelling workshops all around the city. It’s a time for storytellers of all ages to come together and share their stories as well as listen to a few entertaining ones from their friends and neighbors. Workshops and classes are held at the local Murray Library and the Heritage Center as well as at local schools.

 Nickelmania

Nickelmania is a fun arcade for kids of all ages. Most games cost only nickels to play, so the fun is affordable, and there are games of all varieties. While adults enjoy old pinball machines and old-school video games, young kids and teenagers are entertained by skee ball, ticket games and new video games. Prizes and birthday parties round out the Nickelmania experience, drawing families from all around.
