Housed in the oldest commercial building in Richmond, Julep’s New Southern Cuisine offers southern food inspired by the cities of Atlanta, Charleston, New Orleans and Savannah with a menu that includes fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, fried oysters, and more. The restaurant, which was built circa 1817, is in Richmond's historic River District and provides dining areas on two floors.
Acacia Midtown is an upscale restaurant in Richmond's Fan District that focuses on seafood and regional cuisine. The menu contains entrees such as salmon, scallops and lobster, as well as side items including macaroni and cheese, polenta and grits.

Millie’s Diner has been a popular Richmond dining spot since it opened in 1989. Featuring cuisine that's inspired by influences from around the world, such as pumpkin risotto and stuffed quail, the restaurant serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, as well as brunch on the weekend. Millie's Diner is also known for its vintage jukeboxes and record collection.
Black Sheep serves giant sub sandwiches including the two-foot USS Brooklyn, which includes jerk chicken, cabbage, chutney and more, and was featured on the Travel Channel's popular Man V. Food. The restaurant also serves brunch with items such as green eggs and lamb, biscuits, and French toast.
Offering Italian food, Mamma ’Zu is known for it's fantastic food and less-than-stellar service, making it one of the city's most infamous eateries. Diners order from a chalkboard menu that includes pasta, pizza, lasagna and more, and can select from a large wine list.
