Oak Harbor's arts community showcases its talents through visual arts, theater, festivals and historical attractions.
Oak Harbor comes together over several community building events throughout the year. The most popular is the First Fridays festival. On the first friday of every month, downtown stores and art galleries stay open late so the whole city can participate in supporting their community.
Oak Harbor also has the 4th Oh July celebration, during which citizens enjoy a parade during the day and fireworks show at night. Later in mid-July is the Whidbey Island Raceweek, a sailing competition.
