Residents of Campbell County can receive a clean bill of health, thanks to top medical facilities located throughout the community.

Campbell County Health

Campbell County Health (CCH) has advanced a long way since 1953, when it was a 31-bed red-brick hospital. Today, CCH features the 90-bed Campbell County Memorial Hospital, which has about 80 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners in more than 20 specialties. CCH also oversees the 18-clinic Campbell County Medical Group and the Powder River Surgery Center.

In addition, CCH has opened The Legacy Living & Rehabilitation Center, a 152-bed long-term care facility on South Douglas Highway about 1.5 miles from the hospital campus. Besides long-term care, The Legacy, with large, bright  rehabilitation spaces, provides short-term rehabilitation to speed recovery and return patients home. Other amenities at the center, which overlooks Lasting Legacy Park, include a bistro, country store and movie theater.

The Legacy arrived on the heels of CCH’s recent opening of a cardiac catheterization lab and an expansion of the hospital’s radiology department. In addition, CCH has received ISO 9001 certification that recognizes Campbell County Memorial Hospital for continually striving to improve the quality of its entire operating system.
