INCLINE RAILWAY

Discover the thrill of riding one of the world’s steepest passenger railways at the historic Incline Railway in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offering breathtaking views from Lookout Mountain. Using a pulley and steel cable system called a funicular, the railway takes visitors from the base of the mountain to the top. Once there, take in the scenery while learning about the history of the Incline, which has been carrying passengers since 1895. Visitors can also walk to Point Park, which is part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, showcasing videos and murals about the Battles for Chattanooga. After the ride down, explore the charming and historic town of St. Elmo. The Incline rail cars are wheelchair accessible.
