In Collierville, business doesn’t just happen; it flourishes in a setting that feels like home. Just 30 minutes from downtown Memphis, this picturesque town blends economic opportunity with the kind of lifestyle that makes people want to stay a while.

“We’re a crossroads of commerce, where logistics and tech meet,” says Michael Clark, director of community and economic development. “But what really sets us apart is our quality of life and our people.”

A Place to Grow Your Business

Collierville’s location in southeast Shelby County offers unmatched logistical advantages. With easy access to major interstates, Memphis International Airport, the Mississippi River and regional rail lines, it’s no wonder global companies like FedEx World Technology Center, Mueller Industries, Helena Agri-Enterprises and Orgill have planted roots here.

The town is also cultivating growth in the tech and medical sectors, thanks to its proximity to institutions like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics, which has a local presence.

But it’s not just about big business. Collierville supports entrepreneurs and small businesses through initiatives like a business retention and expansion program and a small business roundtable, developed in partnership with the Collierville Chamber of Commerce.

“Nearly two-thirds of our residents hold a college degree,” Clark says. “That gives us a workforce ready to support innovation, research and high-growth industries.”

A Town Straight Out of a Movie

Step onto the historic Collierville Town Square and you’ll feel like you’ve walked into a Hallmark film. Brick sidewalks, boutique shops and locally owned restaurants create a warm, walkable downtown that’s alive with activity year-round.

From Bluegrass Fridays and the Main Street Concert Series to Christmas in Collierville, the town’s calendar is packed with events that bring the community and visitors together.

Rooted in History, Focused on the Future

Founded over 150 years ago as a farm-to-market railroad town, Collierville has always been a place where commerce and community intersect. Today, it’s preparing for the next chapter with a comprehensive 25-year growth plan designed to preserve its charm while embracing innovation.

“We started as a farm-to-market town,” Clark says. “Now, instead of growing cotton and corn, we’re growing neighborhoods, corporations and communities.”
