Young Professionals of Mobile: Building Belonging
Attracting talent is only half the mission. Retaining that talent means building meaningful connections, and the Chamber’s Young Professionals of Mobile (YP of MOB) group is doing just that.
YP of MOB was formed in 2022 to engage, connect and empower our emerging group of talent (21 to 40-year-olds) in the Mobile region. YP of MOB hosts monthly socials and professional development events designed to help young professionals plug into the city. With more than 1,200 participants in the Chamber’s database and 256 paid members in 2025, it’s clear that Mobile’s young professionals are hungry for connection and community.
The group has also launched a Board Readiness Program for young professionals looking for ways to give back to the community. The program matches young professionals with local nonprofit boards where they can serve as nonvoting board members for the year, gaining valuable experience.
