Continental Tire is the latest global company to choose Jackson Metro to construct an OEM manufacturing facility, opening their most technically advanced plant in the world right here in Hinds County in 2019. The world-renowned tire maker has committed $1.45 billion and will employ 2,500 people when the plant reaches full capacity. The firm is known for providing its workers with high-paying jobs and excellent benefits. “Mississippi provided the best options,” says Nikolai Setzer, Continental’s executive board member for the tire company.
