Muscogee County Schools Fosters a Healthy Workplace

The Muscogee County School District is the largest civilian employer in the Greater Columbus, GA area. - Employee scholarship program after at least one year of service.
- Employee educational discounts at local colleges and universities.
- Incentives for graduates working in elementary schools as paraprofessionals.
- Relocation stipend and referral bonus for educators who move from 90 or more miles to teach in critical needs subject areas.

He says each person plays a vital role: custodians, bus drivers and monitors, school leaders, teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff and district teams.
“They ensure our students are learning, thriving and growing so that every student becomes a full-option graduate prepared for post-secondary education or training, the military, or to move directly into the workforce. Likewise, we invest in our employees and provide them opportunities for training and advancement,” Lewis adds.
