Southern Idaho made national news in early April with The New York Times‘ examination of Twin Falls’ many recent economic development wins, such as luring its Clif Bar bakery and massive Chobani yogurt facility.

The New York Times article identifies Twin Falls as a “sweet spot” for ensuring economic health, where factors such as proximity to a larger city, excellent infrastructure and an available, skilled workforce converge. It drills down to how the region’s existing robust agriculture and food production industries helped draw household-name companies Chobani and Clif Bar, as well as how the presence of these companies has raised the bar for pay and benefits for local workers.

The article also points out that over the past 15 years, the county’s  population has grown at twice the rate of the nation at 25 percent. Be sure to explore this site further for more information about how Twin Falls’ and Southern Idaho’s many quality of life amenities continue to attract new residents and companies.
