From the scenic Centennial Lakes Park to the famous Edina Art Fair, there’s always entertainment in Edina, MN. Edina has wonderful parks for families with kids of all ages, and the city offers an amazing art scene, making it a great community full of excitement. Here’s a look at some of the best things to do in Edina.

 

Edina Grill

If you’re looking for the true taste of Edina, look no further. Edina Grill was founded by locals, David Burley and Stephanie Shimp, who aimed to create a neighborhood grill offering comfort food and wholesome hospitality. They have done just that. From the award-winning turkey burger to the banana waffle and hashbrowns, Edina Grill offers some incredible comfort food made only from the freshest ingredients and always made from scratch. Their great food along with friendly service makes Edina Grill the best restaurant in Edina.

 

Centennial Lakes Park

This isn’t your regular urban park, Centennial Lakes Park is a fantastic park for people of all ages. Along with beautiful scenery, the park also offers plenty of family-friendly activities including mini golf, paddle boats and theater. The park is surrounded by tons of local restaurants, so families can make an entire day out of the experience. Centennial Lakes Park regularly hosts festivals and theater, making it a large contribution to the Edina community.

 

Edina Art Fair

The Edina Art Fair hosts over 300 artists every summer on the corner of 50th and France. There’s no better way to celebrate and take part in Edina’s culture. The art fair has grown so quickly in recent years that a shuttle system was developed to allow visitors to park further away as well as allow artists to spread out their works of art. The Edina Art Fair was voted the top fine arts fair in Minnesota in 2013. Also in 2013, a Kids Zone was designed including art activities, kid-friendly vendors, bounce houses, velcro walls, puppet shows and live music. The 2015 art fair was the first to include a craft beer garden hosted by the local Edina Grill, and 2016 will be the 50th Annual Edina Art Fair.

 

Minnesota Streetcar Museum

The Minnesota Streetcar Museum is a museum focused on preserving Minnesota’s electric railway history. The Streetcar Museum has resotred and operates eight of Minnesota’s historic streetcars. The museum also preserves artifacts, papers and photographs used to tell the history of the Minnesota electric railway. Fun and educational for kids of all ages, the Minnesota Streetcar Museum is a staple of Edina’s family-friendly activities.

 Edinborough Park

Edinborough Park is Edina’s most impressive indoor park that has family fun year round. For families in Minnesota, an indoor park is essential during the winter months, and Edinborough Park more than meets the expectations. With an incredible four-story play structure, parents are invited to climb up and play with their children. The park also includes a bounce house and basketball court. Parents rave about the park as it offers fun for children of all ages during all seasons.
