Downtown Greenville
The vibrant urban core of the city, downtown Greenville’s welcoming energy is intoxicating. Known for its highly walkable Main Street, frequent festivals and downtown waterfall (and accompanying iconic Liberty Bridge), downtown has the largest concentration of restaurants, cafes, breweries and retail in all of Greenville. Entertainment is easy to find – from live music to comedy to theatrical productions – and Falls Park on the Reedy is a haven for nature lovers. There’s even a baseball stadium, Fluor Field, located right downtown. Everything is walkable and the good vibes are infectious.

West Greenville
This quickly evolving district is currently experiencing major growth, especially residentially. Historically a manufacturing hub, its historic mills have been redeveloped into apartments and businesses, creating an artistic atmosphere that particularly attracts creatives. From the Village of West Greenville’s art district to Unity Park and the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail, this is a more walkable part of town that has a strong identity and sense of community. Independent businesses thrive in these parts, with locals who show up to support.
Augusta Road Area
One of the most highly desirable neighborhoods in all of Greenville, Augusta Road is located just south of downtown. Its gorgeous mix of historic homes, luxury residences and tree-lined streets – along with a strong school district – makes it a great place for families. This area promises quick, easy access to downtown Greenville while maintaining a quieter, suburban feel with plenty of necessary retail and dining options. Here, you’ll also find a higher concentration of charming boutiques and specialty retailers.
Cherrydale Point/North Greenville
Located between Greenville and Travelers Rest, this northern part of the city is particularly appealing to families who enjoy suburban convenience and outdoor recreation. Nestled near Paris Mountain State Park, it’s ideal for hiking and biking. This neighborhood also encompasses Furman University, a major employer in the area. Plenty of restaurants, stores and entertainment are available here as well, with new developments continuing to expand and offer even more options and convenience to residents.

Haywood Road Area
With a healthy blend of residential and retail, Haywood Road combines a little bit of it all in one handy location. Not only is it home to the Greenville Convention Center, which attracts conferences and business travelers throughout the year, but it’s also home to the one-stop shop Haywood Mall. Haywood Road is centrally located, and it’s easy to get to downtown, Woodruff Road or even the airport, thanks to I-385.
Roper Mountain Road Area
Located on Greenville’s east side, the Roper Mountain Road area is known for its established neighborhoods and excellent schools. Primarily residential, this sector of Greenville has many family-friendly parks and recreational facilities and provides convenient access to Greenville’s trail network. Positioned near I-385, it also facilitates easy commutes to nearby employers in professional office parks and elsewhere.
Woodruff Road Area
This is Greenville’s largest retail corridor and one of the fastest-growing areas in the Upstate, with new businesses and developments popping up left and right. Between extensive retail centers, restaurants and entertainment venues, it’s a popular destination for dining and shopping. Woodruff offers the perfect mix of local businesses and national chains, providing convenient access to everything one could possibly need.
Pelham Road/Airport Area
This section of Greenville is the city’s primary business and corporate corridor, strategically positioned near the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and main interstate. Here, you’ll find a concentration of business parks, hotels, conference facilities and golf courses. Beyond that, there’s a diverse mix of local restaurants and neighborhood shopping centers, not to mention a growing number of upscale residential and mixed-use developments.
