Riverwalk Park

Located just a few blocks from Columbia’s historic downtown square, this picturesque park is situated along the Duck River, one of the most ecologically diverse waterways in the country. The park contains a mile-long paved walking path, a splash pad, a basketball court, exercise equipment and two pavilions. Numerous events are held at the park, including the weekly Columbia Farmers Market as well as concerts and movies.
Stillhouse Hollow Falls State Natural Area
This 90-acre natural area is an easy 20-mile drive from Columbia. Once there, it is a short two-thirds mile walk to Stillhouse Hollow Falls, which consists of several small cascades before reaching a 75-foot plunge. A deep hollow is formed below the falls surrounded by steep slopes. In addition to a canopy of large oak and hickory trees, the park produces a colorful wildflower display each spring.
Maury County Park
At 242 acres, there is a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy at Maury County’s namesake park in Columbia. Highlights include the Lindsey Nelson football stadium, the Columbia American Little League baseball fields, and an equestrian area with stall barns and two show arenas. The park is also home to the $2.6 million Columbia Miracle League ballpark, a fully inclusive, rubberized-surface field and playground completed in 2026 for children and adults with disabilities. Other amenities include several hiking/walking trails (including the ADA accessible “Tony’s Trail”), three playgrounds and eight pavilions.
Chickasaw Trace Park

Mountain biking is the key attraction at 240-acre Chickasaw Trace. The Columbia Cycling Club helps maintain the park’s 9.2 miles of single track and holds several races and events there throughout the year. There also is a pump-and-jump track for trick cycling. And for something a little different, the park has an area designated for the use
of radio-controlled airplanes, and a racetrack for radio-controlled cars.
Yanahli Park

Opened in 2019, this is Maury County’s newest and largest park. It features numerous ecosystems, diverse flora and fauna, and interesting geologic and hydrological elements spread throughout the 474 acres. The park also connects to the 12,000-acre Yanahli Wildlife Management Area. There, visitors can hike the 2-mile Cheeks Bend Bluff View Trail, which winds along a scenic ridge overlooking the Duck River and leads to Rummage Cave.
Woodland Park
The historic Rainey House is the showpiece of this 60-acre park in the heart of Columbia. The building, which is estimated to be approximately 200 years old, is home base for the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department. The park contains a walking path, a mountain bike trail, a large playground area, an amphitheater, tennis courts, a disc golf course and picnic pavilions.
