Greenleaf State Park, Muskogee, OK

Bridges, like this one in Greenleaf State Park near Muskogee, Okla., beg to be crossed. The folks who run Oklahoma’s tourism bureau liked this image so much they decided to use it as part of their promotional tools to get people to come visit. We certainly found it inviting.

Rainbow Springs State Park, Ocala, FL

The crystal clear waters of the Rainbow River near Ocala, Fla., provide an enticing way to cool off and relax during hot summer days. It’s an experience many locals keep to themselves, while tourists clog up nearby beaches. The river, which runs along the western edge of Rainbow Springs State Park, draws tubers throughout the year. </p><blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned="" data-instgrm-version="4" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% – 2px); width:calc(100% – 2px);"><div style="padding:8px;"><div style=" background:#F8F8F8; line-height:0; margin-top:40px; padding:50% 0; text-align:center; width:100%;"><div style=" background:url(data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAACwAAAAsCAMAAAApWqozAAAAGFBMVEUiIiI9PT0eHh4gIB4hIBkcHBwcHBwcHBydr+JQAAAACHRSTlMABA4YHyQsM5jtaMwAAADfSURBVDjL7ZVBEgMhCAQBAf//42xcNbpAqakcM0ftUmFAAIBE81IqBJdS3lS6zs3bIpB9WED3YYXFPmHRfT8sgyrCP1x8uEUxLMzNWElFOYCV6mHWWwMzdPEKHlhLw7NWJqkHc4uIZphavDzA2JPzUDsBZziNae2S6owH8xPmX8G7zzgKEOPUoYHvGz1TBCxMkd3kwNVbU0gKHkx+iZILf77IofhrY1nYFnB/lQPb79drWOyJVa/DAvg9B/rLB4cC+Nqgdz/TvBbBnr6GBReqn/nRmDgaQEej7WhonozjF+Y2I/fZou/qAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC); display:block; height:44px; margin:0 auto -44px; position:relative; top:-22px; width:44px;"> </div></div><p style=" margin:8px 0 0 0; padding:0 4px;"><a href="https://www.instagram.com/accounts/login/?next=/p/37OnL6jjwb/" style=" color:#000; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; font-style:normal; font-weight:normal; line-height:17px; text-decoration:none; word-wrap:break-word;" target="_top" rel="noopener">Love a Florida summer! #lovefl #tubing #rainbowsprings #rainbowriver #ocala #statepark #sunshinestate #summer #travel #instatravel #instapassport #florida #seeflorida #visitflorida #ilivewhereyouvacation #gopro #goproblack</a></p><p style=" color:#c9c8cd; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px; margin-bottom:0; margin-top:8px; overflow:hidden; padding:8px 0 7px; text-align:center; text-overflow:ellipsis; white-space:nowrap;">A photo posted by Lynda Galea (@lynnie11) on <time datetime="2015-06-14T21:56:34+00:00" style=" font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px;">Jun 14, 2015 at 2:56pm PDT</time></p></div></blockquote><script async="" defer="" src="//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js"></script><p>

Hunting Island State Park, Beaufort, SC

This sight of this campsite in Hunting Island State Park, South Carolina reminds us that paradise is never far away. Baxter State Park, Millinocket, ME

When it comes to amazing views the view from atop Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Millinocket, Maine, is a true treat. Just look at how far down that pond is. Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Camdenton, MO

The bird’s-eye perspective of Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton, Mo., shows us the beauty of one of the state’s most popular natural playgrounds. Not only can you see the great trails but also the cool waters of Lake Ozark. Looks like the climb was worth it for the view.

Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah

The vastness of Utah‘s Dead Horse Point State Park, which covers more than 5,362 acres of high desert, is captured in this photo from a man who urges others to never stop exploring your hometown. We couldn’t agree more.
